Tips to Build a Professional and Credible Agent Profile

Use the following tips to help property seekers quickly understand your experience, expertise and professional strengths.

Make A Strong First Impression

Your profile photo and cover photo are among the first things property seekers may notice.

For a professional presentation:

  • Use a clear, recent profile photo where you are easy to recognise.
  • Avoid blurry, heavily edited or distracting photos.
  • Choose a clean, professional cover photo.
  • Avoid cover photos that distract from your key profile information.

Together, these photos can help your profile look more polished and make a stronger first impression.

Highlight Your Service Areas

Keep Your Job Title simple, accurate and relevant to your professional role.

Use State / City to show the locations you serve.

Select + Add another area if you need to include additional locations.

Accurate service areas help property seekers quickly understand whether your local expertise is relevant to their needs.

Focus on locations you actively cover and know well, and update them when your service area changes.

Showcase Your Expertise

Use About Me to explain your experience, expertise and professional strengths.

Consider highlighting:

  • Your relevant experience and professional role
  • Markets or locations you know well
  • Your areas of expertise
  • Your professional strengths
  • The types of property needs you commonly handle
  • How you support clients during their property journey

Be specific and focus on the knowledge, experience or service approach that sets you apart.

Keep your About Me accurate, concise and easy to understand.

Avoid exaggerated claims, unnecessary jargon and repeating information that is already clear elsewhere.

Strengthen Your Profile

Review your Agency Information and make sure the professional details displayed on your profile are accurate, including:

  • REN License No.
  • Agency Reg No.
  • Company Name
  • Job Title
  • Region
  • Years with MP

Your Achievement section can also highlight professional milestones.

Accurate credentials and relevant Achievements can give property seekers additional information when assessing your professional background.

Expand Your Professional Presence

Add relevant Social Profiles where appropriate.

AgentPro shows options for Website, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Make sure each link represents you professionally and leads to an active, relevant profile.

You can also customise your Public Profile URL:

  1. Select the edit icon.
  2. Enter a short URL slug.
  3. Click Publish after reviewing it.

You can leave the slug blank to use your account ID.

Choose a simple, professional URL that is easy to recognise and share.

How often should you keep your profile updated?

Keeping your profile current helps property seekers see an accurate picture of who you are, where you work and what you offer.
